Unique Camp Venue
The camp encoompasses a four-block area of historic downtown Charleston. Classes, lunch, free periods, jams, recitals & concerts are held in various historic buildings including the Unitarian Church, the Circular Church (where Amazing Grace was first sung), the Charleston Day School, the Old City Jail, The Mills House and surrounding gardens and alleys. Students will find their way through haunted graveyards and horse-drawn carriages to find their next class. The camp is also close to the Battery (with a view to Ft. Sumter), the Old City Market and the Charleston Harbor (USS Yorktown). Charlestonian’s love to walk on the cobblestone streets lined with live oaks and Spanish moss overhead! Folly Beach is a short drive away for a late afternoon swim or surfing.
